Watch: Kayla Harrison Wins PFL Championship & $1 Million with a Superb Armbar

Kayla Harrison, a 2-time Judo Olympic gold medalist from the USA, just won her second PFL championship via Armbar… And with it, she earned a $1million prize!

Harrison dominated much of the fight with both standup and ground work. Then, in the second round, she immediately clinched up against the cage with her opponent – Taylor Guardado. From there, she used her Judo skills; setting up a Kouchi Gari inside trip in order to bring the fight back down to the canvas. Even though she ended up in Guardado’s Closed Guard, she delivered some heavy ground-and-pound.
Soon enough, these strikes were enough for her to pass into Half Mount and then into Full Mount. Harrison continued to transition between dominant positions, until she finally set up an Armbar from Mount – getting her tap and the $1 million dollar prize.

She now stands on a record of 12-0 in professional MMA; which consists out of 5 submissions and 5 knockout wins.

Harrison praised the power of grappling after the fight:

I realize that nothing in this world is given, you have to earn it all.
She came out swinging… Really great game plan. Caught me off guard. But when all else fails, grapple.
