Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is currently preparing for his trilogy fight against Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, which is going to take place in May 2023.
He lost his first fight against Moraes in April 2021, but then avenged it in August this year… And he’s looking to make the record 2-1.
This, among other things, also means that the current ONE flyweight champion is working hard on his Jiu-Jitsu.
For instance, he’s recently published a video on his YouTube channel, where he can be seen rolling with none other than Garry Tonon!
Watch the two engage in some elite-level rolls, at New Wave Jiu-Jitsu:
So, the Mighty Mouse – currently a BJJ brown belt – continues training hard, pushing his limits and success… Despite the fact that he’s already 36 years old, which is often considered to be quite old in the MMA realm.
However, he doesn’t believe that his age has been, or is, a factor in his career. Here’s why, as he explained in an interview with ONE:
Now, being 36, I understand how to fight and how to pace myself while pushing the pace.
We haven’t crossed that bridge yet. I’m still trying to figure it out; I’m not too worried about it.I’m gonna train my ass off and go out there and fight.
Sloth Jiu-Jitsu: you can be slow and unathletic and still kick butt in Jiu-Jitsu.
