Rigan Machado Praises Keanu Reeves’ Jiu-Jitsu: “He Knows How To Escape Every Position”

It’s been long known that Keanu Reeves is a big Jiu-Jitsu fan…
And one of his coaches, Rigan Machado, is praising the actor’s skills – a lot.

Reeves spoke about his passion for BJJ a number of times:

As you get deeper and deeper into training, you get less and less normal life.

Which I’ve enjoyed, I’m focused on it [training].
Friends are, like: “Where did you go?”

I’m in the training paradigm.

And now, Machado spoke about the famous actor’s capabilities:

Every position, he knows how to escape, how to set up, how to counterattack, and how to do submissions.

So why does Keanu Reeves like Jiu-Jitsu so much?
It’s simple, really – because of the mix of the physical and mental aspects:

I really enjoyed the physical side of it.

I like tasks. I like the puzzle.
I like trying to get good at something.

So it’s fun to do physical stuff, figure it out and try to be great at it.
