Here Are The Best Christmas And New Year’s Gift Ideas For Jiu-Jitsu Practitioners

Christmas and New Year are approaching fast! And so does the usual stress connected with choosing a gift: which ones are you going to buy for your friends? Well, at least you’ll have an easier time with those that train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
So, without further ado, here are the best Christmas and New Year’s gifts for Jiujiteiros!

A RASHGUARD OR A GI

Gi by Athletes on the Mat.

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is a gi or a rashguard. But even though these are somewhat „obvious“ choices, your BJJ friend will appreciate them! They are of practical utility, and Jiujiteiros will use it for what they enjoy doing most; for training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

MATS – THE ULTIMATE GIFT

If your pocket and your friend’s in-house space allows it, mats may be the best Christmas and New Year’s gift they could receive. This is especially true in the ever-looming lockdowns that are happening worldwide today. So, if you can, invest in a couple of square meters of mats; your friend will love rolling on them!

A GRAPPLING DUMMY

The next in line for the home training gifts edition is a grappling dummy. Make it possible for your friend to drill techniques at home with a training partner that never gets tired; there are a LOT of options available online – from the very cheap to the EXPENSIVE ones!

BJJ APPAREL

Look, every Jiujiteiro (if you train, you know) wants the public to know that they train… But they don’t want to yell it out, as they prefer subtle ways for getting people to notice. And BJJ apparel is the best tool for this! Be it a T-shirt, a hoodie, a cap… As long as there is something Jiu Jitsu-related written on it, you can’t go wrong.

AN INSTRUCTIONAL

If your friend is a proper Jiu Jitsu geek, then he or she will absolutely LOVE to have a new BJJ instructional at their possession! Just beware – the one you’re thinking of, they may have already. Try to ask them in a non-obvious way about the instructionals they already have and the one(s) they’d like to have. And then make sure that they develop the biggest smile when the celebration time comes.

MASSAGE SESSIONS

Almost every Jiujiteiro feels more tightness and pain in their muscles than they’d like to. Sure, they stretch and everything, but that nagging stiffness is still there. Oh, just how much good a massage would do onto them!
Make sure that it does; even just one massage session by a professional can release those knots and make your friend feel much more lively than before. Even better if they can get 2 or 3 more after!

A FOAM ROLLER

The next best thing to massages is the foam roller. This is a great tool which your friend will be able to use for releasing some (or most!) of that stiffness away on a daily basis. You won’t regret getting them this as a gift!

KETTLEBELLS

The relationship between Jiu Jitsu and kettlebells is said to be thousands and thousands of years old. Cherish this unique bond by purchasing a kettlebell (or two) for the Christmas or New Year’s celebration with your friend. They’ll make sure to treasure it by doing kettlebell swings for millions and millions time again.

A DO-IT-ALL WASHING MACHINE

Lastly, if you’re into engineering, you can make your friend happy by inventing a washing machine that not only washes, but dries and folds the gi and rashguards after training… Without your friend having to do anything.
Hours are spent by Jiujiteiros each year on doing laundry. Please help your friend.
