Since his debut at the ADCC World Championship in 2009, Magalhaes has been a formidable presence – showcasing his grappling skills and competitive spirit.
His first entry into the tournament saw him win bronze medals in both the under 99kg and the absolute divisions, a feat made all the more impressive considering his losses were only to ADCC legends Xande Ribeiro and Braulio Estima.
In 2011, he competed in the over 99kg category and won the gold medal – beating Fabricio Werdum in what was a memorable final bout.
His performances in subsequent tournaments have further cemented his status as a top competitor, with a career total for the ADCC finishing at 19 wins and 9 losses…
Including a gold and three bronze medals over an outstanding competition span of 14 years.
Magalhaes is also an MMA veteran, having competed in promotions such as the UFC and PFL.
