Multiple-Time BJJ World Champion Josh Hinger Suffers Home Invasion Robbery

Josh Hinger is a multiple-time IBJJF no-gi world champion and one of the most elite Jiu-Jitsu athletes today.
He recently shared unfortunate news: that he suffered a home invasion robbery.

It’s a gut-wrenching feeling for Hinger.
Here’s what he had to say about the incident:

This is what a home invasion robbery looks like. We are absolutely gutted.

We bought this house 2 years ago, remodeled and refurbished it.
Some human scum broke in and camped out for 2-3 days and left no box unturned.

At least $35/40k in stolen items. Wedding rings gone, guns, gone, safe, ID cards, credit card, checks clothes, food from the cabinets, anything and everything of value.
Gone. Even took the coffee maker.

I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Just gut-wrenching.

Words of encouragement came from a lot of people, such as Maggie Grindatti:

Sending all the prayers and vibes. So sorry.
What goes around comes around. Trust God.

Another, wholesome, reply emphasized Josh Hinger’s achievements as an athlete:

This is terrible but they are just things.

Remember everything you accomplished on and off the mat required heart and will.
That is something no one can take from you.

And it is what matters most.
