Conor McGregor will return to court next week yet again, this time to defend himself against a lawsuit brought by a woman and her mother – over an alleged assault and personal injury.
The first case, scheduled for next Tuesday, will be heard before a judge and jury in the Dublin High Court; while the second case, filed by the mother, will be heard before a judge only.
These legal actions stem from an incident purportedly occurring in 2018, although specific details of the alleged events have not been disclosed publicly.
Previous investigations by law enforcement, including the Gardai, extensively investigated the alleged incidents – however, the Director of Public Prosecutions declined to pursue any charges.
Furthermore, Conor McGregor denies all allegations leveled against him, maintaining his innocence in the face of legal challenges.
In a separate legal matter, McGregor also faces a multi-million lawsuit arising from the sale of his Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey brand, which fetched approximately $600 million.
Despite his legal battles, McGregor is resuming his training regimen after an absence of over two and a half years from the octagon.
His return to action will see him facing former three-time Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler, at UFC 303 in Las Vegas – on Saturday, June 29.
