Former UFC star Nate Diaz is facing a civil suit following a 2023 altercation on Bourbon Street.
Rodney Petersen, also known as “Not Logan Paul” on social media, filed the suit, along with his wife, Bobbie Petersen – according to court documents obtained by MMA Junkie.
The incident took place on April 22, 2023, following a Misfits Boxing event attended by Diaz.
Earlier that evening, Diaz had a confrontation with influencer Chase DeMoor, during which he allegedly threw a water bottle.
Video footage of the subsequent street fight went viral, showing Petersen engaging with Diaz before being choked unconscious by the UFC star.

Although Diaz was arrested shortly after the incident, the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office opted not to pursue a second-degree battery charge against him.
In the lawsuit, Petersen alleges that Diaz initiated the brawl while he was attempting to intervene and defuse the situation.
Furthermore, Petersen is:
Seeking damages for mental, physical, and emotional trauma, as well as medical expenses and loss of income.
Bobbie Petersen seeks damages for loss of consortium, services, affection, and care.
What do you think about the lawsuit? Does it make sense?
