When you think of Australia, what’s one of the first things that come to mind? Yeah – probably Craig Jones and kangaroos. Well, the world of BJJ and the animal kingdom actually crossed paths this time (though Jones wasn’t involved)…
As a BJJ black belt punched a kangaroo that was trying to drown his dog.
Mick Moloney, a Jiu-Jitsu black belt and former police officer, was walking his dogs when he noticed one of them was missing:
I saw a kangaroo… With his arms in the water, basically just staring at me.
Hutchy [the dog] came up gasping for air, water spilling out of his mouth and screaming his head off.
I was, like: “Are you kidding me?”
Moloney then appeared to warn the kangaroo, saying:
I’m going to punch you f*cking head in. Let my dog go.
But the kangaroo wasn’t budging, so Moloney punched him.
The animal punched back, causing him to temporarily drop his phone in the water.
Luckily enough, Moloney, his dog, and the kangaroo walked away from the encounter safely:
I got a few (scratches). My forearm was killing me for most of the day.

Sloth Jiu-Jitsu: you can be slow and unathletic and still kick butt in Jiu-Jitsu.
