Strangely enough, due to Galvao being the reigning welterweight champion and due to his absence from this particular event, it appears that the title cannot be defended in this bout.
Consequently, the promotion has decided to forgo the Who’s Number One title stakes for this particular match.
Nonetheless, the Tackett vs Langaker still promises to be an exciting match, as both competitors have superb submission grappling CVs.
Furthermore, with both Tackett and Langaker securing invitations to the highly prestigious 77kg division of ADCC 2024, there’s a possibility for at least one more match this year between the two.
Therefore, their impending showdown at WNO 23 serves as a precursor to what could be an equally exciting ADCC 2024 match.
