Andre Galvao Documentary Announced: “I Am Excited To Share My Personal Story”

Andre Galvao is a true Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend – not many athletes have managed to achieve what he’s achieved during the course of their careers.

Namely, Galvao has been at the top of competitive BJJ for more than ten years. He competed for well over a hundred times (!) and has stood face-to-face against some of the best competitors in Jiu-Jitsu history.
And even before he was promoted to BJJ black belt (back in 2005), he had already won at least one IBJJF World Championship title at every colored belt level.

So, it goes without saying that an upcoming documentary about Galvao will be a super exciting one.
The documentary will reveal Galvao’s journey to the 2022 ADCC World Championship superfight:

I’m humbled to share not only my journey to ADCC, but also my personal story.

The documentary crew has been following me on and off the mats for months now. They’ve interviewed my friends and family, and they will be documenting the ADCC super fight.

Andre Galvao’s arguably best ADCC performance ever took place in 2011. Back then, he became an ADCC double champion – having won both his weightclass and the absolute division at the same event.

Galvao then went on to win a total of four superfights, before getting stopped by Gordon Ryan at ADCC 2022.
