UFC has revealed a big match-up for December 9th, 2023: Gordon Ryan vs. Mason Fowler! This is going to be the main event for the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5 event…
And it will be joined with a match between none other than Ryan’s friend and training partner Nicholas Meregali – who is set to face Ryan’s long-time nemesis, Felipe Pena!

Now here’s the kicker. Remember that Georges St-Pierre was all set for a grappling return, precisely for this event… Against Nick Diaz?
Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Both fighters got injured and the much-anticipated match had to be cancelled.
However, there’s a silver lining; because St-Pierre will be at the event!
Not on the mat though, but behind the mic. He’s joining the commentary team.
And what about the rule set that the competitors will face against each others in? Well, UFC Fight Pass Invitational events vary.
Some are grand prix tournaments, others are team grappling. And the fifth event’s format is still unknown.
But one thing is sure – it’ll be a night of phenomenal grappling.
The spotlight is on Ryan vs. Fowler… And everyone’s thinking: can Fowler break Ryan’s win streak?
