GSP vs Nick Diaz Grappling Match Supposed To Take Place In December – Injuries Prolonged It

According to a TSN reporter Aaron Bronsteter, a submission grappling match between George St-Pierre and Nick Diaz was supposed to take place this December – but it has to be prolonged because both athletes have suffered injuries:

Just spoke with Georges St-Pierre, who revealed that he had agreed to face Nick Diaz in his grappling bout at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational in December.

Unfortunately, both suffered injuries recently and it has been postponed.

GSP faced off against Diaz back in 2013, for the welterweight title defense – and won via unanimous decision.
So, it’d be great to watch the two go for it in a rematch, even if it is in submission grappling.

St-Pierre doesn’t lack opponents for a grappling match, though.
For example, Charles Oliveira shared that he’d be honored to grapple GSP:

It would be very important for me to do a submission fight, I like the art a lot, it would be important, I would really like it.
If I had the opportunity to fight St-Pierre, it would be a huge honor. He’s a guy I admire and respect a lot.

We already met and took a picture together. He told me how much he’s been watching me, it would be great.
Him or anyone else, but if it was against him it would be wonderful.
