Tye Ruotolo Talks Match vs Abdulkadirov: “It’s Going To Be A War”

Tye Ruotolo is gearing up for a clash against Magomed Abdulkadirov on November 3, for the ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title.
This bout offers Tye a chance to stand alongside his twin, Kade Ruotolo, as a ONE World Champion.

Despite the pressure, though, Tye remains unfazed.
Here’s what he had to say in an interview with ONE:

You can’t help but to think about [the pressure], for sure… But for me, I feel like it’s my job to kind of block that out and focus on the task at hand.

Because I’m not fighting the title. I’m fighting Magomed.

Abdulkadirov, a seasoned European ADCC Grappling Champion, is not to be underestimated.
However, Tye’s focused on the task at hand:

At the end of the day, that’s what I’m focusing on all day long. At night, that’s all I’m thinking about is Magomed, how I’m gonna dismantle him.

Yeah, the title is definitely obviously added pressure.
But you know, my brother and I have been dealing with pressure our whole lives, and we’re pretty good at kind of negating it by now.

Furthermore, Tye is eager to test his wrestling skills against Abdulkadirov:

When we fight, I want to lock horns, and it’s going to be a war for sure at the beginning…

My wrestling has improved a lot over the past four years, and I’m really excited to put it to the test against Magomed.
