Ruotolo, who remains undefeated in ONE Championship with an impressive record of three submissions in five matches, is celebrated as one of the best no-gi grapplers in the world.

His successes include an outstanding performance at the 2022 ADCC World Championships, where he secured a third-place finish – defeating renowned competitors, such as light heavyweight Pedro Marinho and the former ADCC absolute champion Felipe Pena.

Michell, while entering with a less decorated record than Ruotolo, is nonetheless a formidable force in the 185-pound division – with gold medals from the 2022 and 2023 ADCC Asia and Oceania Trials; as well as victories against competitors such as Roberto Jimenez, Jansen Gomes, and Jacob Couch.
