Yoel Romero, one of the greatest MMA fighters in history, will compete in a submission grappling match…
Against none other than Owen Livesey!
The match has been announced by Polaris and it will take place at the Polaris 28 event, on June 15 in England.
Here’s what the promotion had to say about the match:
We’re in the business of making the most entertaining matches possible, that you could never see anywhere else.
When Owen Livesey took down UFC great Chris Weidman at Polaris 23, he had one request; he wanted to face Yoel Romero in Doncaster and now they will face off in June.
Yoel Romero, an Olympic Silver medalist and one of the greatest middleweight MMA fighters of his generation, will be coming to England to face Livesey in front of an army of his fans.
Will the Soldier of God get the win or is going to be another big night for Livesey at the Dome?

How do you think that the match will go down?
It’s important to mention that Romero, even though 15 years older than his opponent (he is 47 years old, whereas Livesey is 32) is still an explosive and extremely skilled athlete…
So it will for sure be an interesting match!
