ONE FC: Marcus Buchecha Set To Compete Vs. Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane

Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida is set for one more, exciting match in the near future! According to MMA Fighting, he will fight on the ONE: Reloaded card on April 22… Against none other than Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane!

Kane is a well-known wrestler from Senegal, who has relatively recently made a transition to MMA. After making the transition, he has managed to continue winning in a dominant fashion.
However, for his next match against Buchecha, “Reug Reug” will be looking to come back to a winning streak. Namely, he lost his last match via technical knockout, against Kirill Grishenko – back in April 2021.

Buchecha, on the other hand, is one of the top-ranking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes in history. Today, he is also one of the top prospects in the world of MMA heavyweight fighting; since he made his transition to mixed martial arts (under the ONE Championship banner), Almeida has won two fights in a row – both by submission.
Namely, his last fight was at ONE: Winter Warriors grand prix championship, that took place on December 3. Buchecha fought Kang Ji Won… And tapped him out with a mighty Rear Naked Choke!

Ji Won attempted to place some pressure on Almeida with his strikes in the beginning. However, within the first minute of the first round, Almeida perfectly timed a Double Leg takedown and brought Ji Won on the canvas. Once there, Ji Won established a form of Half Guard and managed to get to his side, despite Buchecha’s attempts to control his right arm and flatten him out.
With his opponent’s back against the ring, Buchecha delivered some heavy punches. At one point, Ji Won got back up to his feet; but only for a brief moment, as Almeida brought him back down.

From there, Almeida took Ji Won’s back, inserting both hooks in and working for the Rear Naked Choke – eventually setting it up across his opponent’s jaw and neck. Despite his best efforts to defend, Ji Won was forced to tap out and Almeida emerged victorious in the very first round.
