Nick Diaz Denies Pulling Out Of Grappling Match With Georges St-Pierre

The whole BJJ community was hyped up about the news a few months ago that Georges St-Pierre was going to return to competition – in a submission grappling match…
And after a while, it was made known that the opponent would have been Nick Diaz!

However, the match fell through because – as it’s been initially reported – both fighters ended up injured:

Just spoke with Georges St-Pierre, who revealed that he had agreed to face Nick Diaz in his grappling bout at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational in December.

Unfortunately, both suffered injuries recently and it has been postponed.

But now, former UFC welterweight title challenger Nick Diaz has denied claims that the fight was cancelled because of an injury.
He said that St-Pierre is “selling wolf tickets” to fans:

Be it as it may be, it’s unfortunate that we won’t see either fighter in a submission grappling match anytime soon it seems.
Though even Charles Oliveira would like to compete against GSP:

It would be very important for me to do a submission fight, I like the art a lot, it would be important, I would really like it.
If I had the opportunity to fight St-Pierre, it would be a huge honor. He’s a guy I admire and respect a lot.

We already met and took a picture together. He told me how much he’s been watching me, it would be great.
Him or anyone else, but if it was against him it would be wonderful.
