Khabib Nurmagomedov Reportedly Wants $5 Million To Grapple Georges St-Pierre

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Georges St-Pierre submission grappling match? What an amazing event that would be!

However, despite Jiu-Jitsu fans’ wishes (and martial arts fans’ in general), the probability of the match taking place seems to be seriously low.
Even though St-Pierre would like to take on the challenge, it’s Khabib who doesn’t seem to want it… At least for a “reasonable” price.

In the recent episode of El Segundo Podcast, Craig Jones revealed that he heard that “The Eagle” reportedly priced himself out of the match – by asking for $5 million to compete.

Here’s what Jones said:

I remember I was with the Fight Pass guys and they were trying to ask me for opponents for GSP (Georges St-Pierre), for ideas, and I had no idea who (it) would be…

They asked me in the moment, I was like: “I don’t know…”
But I remember obviously I said – Khabib.

That’s when, reportedly, the UFC Fight Pass crew dropped the bomb:

I think they said Khabib wanted 5 million dollars to do the grappling match.
I was, like: “Whoa, obviously that’s priced himself out there.”

Those guys would be cool to see.

What do you think? Is $5 million a reasonable price to ask for someone of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s stature?
