Keenan Cornelius Addresses ‘Stealing Moves’ From Danaher’s Team: “What Does That Even Mean?”

Keenan Cornelius recently joined Craig Jones on his “El Segundo” podcast – and the two discussed plenty of interesting topics…
Including what happened when Cornelius was, seemingly, close to joining the Danaher Death Squad in the lead up to ADCC 2019.

Cornelius spoke about an instance when, after having contracted an eye virus, he became alienated from Gordon Ryan and other members of the squad…
And how he was accused of stealing moves!

I thought it was very ironic that, like, he [Ryan] did such a switch on me. Because, first he was like all stoked about me training there and then I get an eye virus – and then suddenly I’m their enemy.

I mean that’s how I saw it. Like, I came out of my eye virus and now I’m their enemy.
I was, like – what the f*ck just happened…

He was accusing me of stealing their moves at one point.

Keenan further reflected on the accusations:

It turns out that there’s actually some lawsuits that occurred where people tried to claim yoga moves.
And the result was that you can’t own a move.

Like you can’t say I invented this particular body configuration, therefore no one else can do it.
