Harvard University Lecturer Becomes First Slovenian BJJ Black Belt

The First Slovenian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt is a man who speaks 5 languages, educated at Yale,
teaches at Harvard and now is a BJJ professor! Talk about a well balanced individual.
Peter J. Verovšek was promoted by Prof. Renato Migliaccio (Ryan Gracie Team) at Sampa Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in California.

Renato Migliaccio had to fly to Boston and give him his black belt at Roberto Maia Boston BJJ.

Peter had this to say:

I am so glad to have received all my belts from you (and
all in different places).
I don’t know if you remember, but you actually
gave me my blue in Connecticut,
then my purple at the studio with Josh,
brown in Stuttgart
and black at Roberto’s Place (Roberto Maia Boston
BJJ).
Quite a journey….
Peter
PS –
Incidentally, my friend from Slovenia wrote to congratulate me. He
mentioned that as far as he knows, I am the first Slovenian black belt.
Pretty cool 🙂
