Caio Terra has just announced that he actually will not be competing at the Pan. Terra, a rooster weight world champion, was planning on competing at Ultraheavy.

Andre Galvao will fill his spot at Ultraheavy.

From Caio’s facebook:

This has been an amazing camp, probably one of the more memorable ones and my Jiu Jitsu has never been better. Training with my team, Yuri Simoes Manny Diaz and some of the heavier guys I thought for sure I would be ready to do the improbable. Take on the Ultra heavy division and show the world my Jiu Jitsu isn’t just for small people, it’s for everyone and can be applied for and against any one.

Three days ago I got sick and have only been able to train one time, even then I struggled to stay focused. Yesterday I wanted to go and support my friend Leandro Lo but my head ache was so bad I could barely walk.

Although I typically don’t go to dr.’s last night I went and they advised I don’t train for awhile, and focus on my health. Competition is out of the question. Jiu Jitsu is a HUGE part of my life but there is more to my life than Jiu Jitsu. To everyone competing at Pans, GOOD LUCK.
