Buchecha Excited For The Ruotolo vs. De Ridder Match: “It’s Gonna Be A Really Good One”

Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida is excited about the upcoming ONE Championship submission grappling match between Tye Ruotolo and Reinier de Ridder.

The bout will take place on May 5. Buchecha is certain that it will be a good one, but he’s not sure how it will go down.
He did spend a lot more time with the Ruotolo brothers though, so he’s more familiar with their game.

Here are his thoughts, as shared for ONE Championship:

That’s gonna be a really good one, and it’s gonna be a tricky fight for both of them.

You know me and the Ruotolo brothers. We are friends for a long time, and I met these kids when they were like green belts.
And back in the day, we’re from the same team, RVCA team.

I just had the opportunity to train with Reinier only one time so, I know more about Tye’s game.
It’s gonna be a good one.

Buchecha is also aware that de Ridder has been working on his game with John Danaher, so he’ll be at no disadvantage when it comes to some of the modern improvements in the sport:

I know he is doing camps in America, and he’s trying to keep it up with the younger game, and newer game.

So that’s why I think he’s not gonna get left behind on the new games, the new technique, this kind of stuff.
