Tye Ruotolo, the reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion, defended his title against Izaak Michell – at ONE Fight Night 21!
The event took place in the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
And, well, Ruotolo went on his classic offensive style from the very onset of the match.
After several attempts to secure a takedown, Ruotolo finally managed to get it, and transitioned to Mount.
Attempting to defend, Michell gave up his back and Tye managed to secure the back take, not leaving his opponent any space to escape.
He secured a Rear Naked Choke and, after a few short seconds, got the tap.
Check out the finishing sequence on the video below:
Tye Ruotolo taps Izaak Michell with a “Ruotolo-tine” at 4 mins 43 seconds.
