Yes, it’s official! Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team is scheduled to face the B-Team in a grappling event!
The date is yet to be announced, but the event is to take place in Kazahstan.
The B-Team shared the news in their recent “The Simple Man Podcast” episode:
It’s a team event in Kazakhstan. Where it’s B-Team versus Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team.
No [Khabib is not on the team], but that would be insane. He is coaching.
The B-Team are putting a team together and are still thinking about which athletes should go into which weight class:
We’ve got the team together. 91kg+, -99kg, all the way down to 60kg, under 60kg… So, it’s 7 guys spread out across those weight categories.
We don’t know who the 60kg guy is yet. The next one is 65kg, so 135lbs, so maybe Frankie…
And what about the event rules? Ethan Crelinsten explained it further:
It’s not quintet style, it’s duel; so, weight class vs weight class.
And I think that there is a weight system, so a points win is (worth) something and a sub win is (worth) two points or something like that.
What do you think? How well will the B-Team do against Khabib’s team in this grappling event?
