Big Deal Pro 3 Results: Anderson Munis Defeats Erberth Santos

The Big Deal Pro 3 promotion was an exciting one, full of fast-paced and interesting matches. It also had two big match-ups: here’s what happened!

LEANDRO LO VS. HENRIQUE CECONI

The main event superfight featured a high-intensity match between Leandro Lo and Henrique Ceconi. In the beginning, Lo pulled guard and Ceconi broke free from it, trying to pass. Lo got back up to his feet, and Ceconi shot for a takedown.
Leandro stepped back to avoid it and pulled guard again briefly, returning to his feet quickly afterwards. Ceconi went for another takedown. Lo pulled guard again, and after some time of Ceconi trying to pass and Lo trying to sweep him, Leandro got up and went for a Double Leg takedown. However, he wasn’t able to complete it, and both himself and Ceconi ended up off the mats.

After the two were reset into neutral position, Ceconi went for a takedown and Lo countered yet again by pulling guard. Ceconi then applied heavy pressure with one leg through Lo’s guard, and Lo came up with his leg trapped between his.
He got Ceconi down to the ground, but was only awarded an advantage because the takedown was finished outside of the bounds. Ceconi then again went for the takedown, and was shut down by Lo again.

Lo pulled guard and Ceconi spun his way out of the De La Riva Guard before trying to get a Double Under pass. Ceconi then went for another takedown with another minute to go and attempted a choke. Ceconi spent the last seconds of the match trying to pass guard.
In the end, Lo was declared the winner via advantage.

ANDERSON MUNIS VS. ERBERTH SANTOS

In the heavyweight Grand Prix final match, Munis and Santos faced each other. Munis pulled guard at the start of the match and Santos established grips; working to pass Munis’s guard. This effort continued all the way to the four-minute mark, at which point Munis transitioned to the 50/50 position.
The two were in the 50/50 until the two-minute mark, when Munis switched to the Closed Guard. Santos then stood up, and Munis dropped down while Santos established the pants and sleeve grips.

As the clock went down to the last ten seconds, Munis attempted a sweep, but Santos got up to his feet. Then Santos made one more attempt to pull guard and sweep Munis, but time ran out.
In the end, Anderson Munis was declared the winner of the Big Deal Pro 3 heavyweight Grand Prix.
