Dorian Olivarez continues to make waves in the world of grappling.
After securing victories in both ADCC Trials and Combat Jiu-Jitsu championships last year, the teenage phenom has now won a junior folkstyle wrestling national title!
Olivarez competed in the Junior Folkstyle Nationals, which were held on March 16th, 2024.
In a remarkable display of skill, he defeated reigning champion Alex Braun in the semi-finals – before pulling off a monumental upset against the number-one ranked Pierson Manville in the final.

It was back in 2023 that Olivarez kicked off his impressive streak, first with a stunning upset victory at the Combat Jiu-Jitsu Bantamweight world championship – where he secured submissions against all four of his opponents to claim the title.
Shortly thereafter, he dominated the under 66kg division at the ADCC North American East Coast Trials; triumphing over seven seasoned competitors such as notable veterans Gianni Grippo and Ethan Crelinsten.
