EBI Bantamweights just concluded! The 10th edition of the prestigious sub only event took place in Mexico City, Mexico.

Many were excited and anticipating a match between EBI belt owners Eddie Wolverine and Geo Martinez – and they weren’t disappointed. This is just one of the many factors that made last night’s event memorable.

In round one

Geo Martinez used a D’Arce Choke To sub Woodmansee

Marcelo Cohen won with a kimura against Joey Diehl

Bruninho Barbosa won by calf slicer against Suraj Budhram

Ricky Lule defeated Gomez via inside heel hook

Eddie Cummings defeated Alessandro Costa via outside heel hook

Alduncin won against Ashley Williams in overtime

Baret Yoshida defeated Eric Medina via overtime sub

Arturo Cadenas subbed Pablo Rogel via heel hook

 

That made quarter finals the matches to watch.

In the first match Geo Martinez defeated Marcelo Cohen via outside heel hook.

Ricky Lule subbed Bruninho Barbosa via guillotine

Eddie Cummings subbed Alduncin via inside heel hook

Baret Yoshida defeated ARturo Cadenas via NoGi Ezekiel

 

Semifinals took place right after –

Geo Martinez made it to the finals defeating Ricky Lule via kata gatame.

Eddie Cummings stuck to his strengths and inside hell hooked ADCC vet Baret Yoshida.

In the big finals Geo Martinez and Eddie Cummings finally met (several superfights with the two were previously canceled) –

in the big finale Geo Martinez defeated Eddie Cummings via overtime sub!
