Doing SOMETHING Is Far More Important Than Doing “Everything” In Jiu-Jitsu…

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could improve just about anything you’d like in Jiu-Jitsu, as fast as you’d like? If you could do it all at once, in big chunks, and make huge leaps in whichever area & at whichever time…
It doesn’t work like that, however. Though you could try to do everything, it’s a much better idea to take small bites – and work from there.

Brian Glick explains why:

Whatever you’re trying to improve, approach it “piece by piece” rather than “whole by whole”.
Update your weakest areas a little at a time so you can go from strength to strength rather than having major gaps in your knowledge.

That doesn’t mean ignoring something that’s broken – sometimes you do need to drop everything to fix a major problem.
But in general if you can do a LITTLE each day to update the problem areas, you’ll always be doing SOMETHING about your biggest issues.

And the result? Incremental progress:

Sometimes obsession is a good thing a but you can also fix your issues as you go, one at a time, little by little, without having to stop everything for a total and complete overhaul.
