CM Punk has had a controversial debut in the octagon back in October of 2016 against Mickey Gall who manhandled punk in total 2 minutes for an impressive submission victory.
Now it’s looking like CM Punk is set for an octagon return.
His coach Duke Roufus of esteemed Roufusport MMA Academy announced on instagram:
Roufus’ Instagram post caption is curious, with him specifically stating Punk is back in camp “working on his next fight,” which makes you wonder if a booking could be in the works.
The speculation for exactly who he’ll face is on, with one particularly creative albeit unlikely option standing out:
Seeing he’s back in the news, I’ll take this time to pitch a fight idea:
Edmond Tarverdyan vs. Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.
You’re welcome.

UFC President Dana White said shortly after Punk’s loss that he would “probably not” continue fighting for the organization, though he’s never taken a definitive stance.
