UFC Likely To Give CM Punk A 2nd Chance

Apparently a great enough pay per view score can buy you a second chance. even if the first one was a fairly text book loss.

Mickey Gall might’ve won CM Punk’s debut fight but Phil Brooks aka CM Punk isn’t quite ready to hang up the MMA gloves.

On a recent episode of MMA Hour he said:

We’re back at it. We’re back to the drawing board. I felt like I was in the best shape of my life still, so I just kept after it. I think that’s the best thing you can do after you lose. This is what I do now. This is what I’m going to do now. If I can do it for you [UFC President Dana White], awesome. If not, I’ll still bug you for tickets to your show.

After the not so glorious debut of Punk White was quoted saying Punk’s next fight likely won’t be in the UFC octagon.

But at age 38 there’s not much time to back track and be strategic about his pick of the promotions. One thing’s for sure UFC would enjoy the benefits of the publicity the fight would bring.

Further it will mean UFC will have to acquire another fighter, someone more on Punk’s level further compromising the level of overall competition as well as the standing of every other fighter they have signed.
