Polaris 2 Jiu-Jitsu Invitational Partial Fightcard Released

 

 

Polaris has just announced some fight from their much awaited second event which will be held on Saturday the 12th September at St. David’s Hall in Cardiff.

Live tickets on sale June 11th from the St. David’s Hall Box Office, online PPV also available. Details coming soon.

Fights announced so far:

Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro vs. Nakamura “The Ronin” Daisuke
Shaolin needs no introduction, with his legacy in MMA and jiu jitsu firmly cemented, he rekindles the old rivalry between Brazil and Japan to take on Daisuke Nakamura, a multiple-time all Japan black belt champion in the open class.

Eddie “Wolverine” Cummings vs. Reilly Bodycomb
Wolverine is one of the fastest rising stars of grappling in the world, a John Danaher protege with recent wins over notable no-gi experts Nathan Orchard and Denny Prokopos. Reilly Bodycomb is a decorated submission grappler who fights with a blend of sambo, wrestling, judo and jiu jitsu.

Michelle Nicolini vs. Gezary Matuda
Returning from a stellar performance on Polaris 1, the multiple time world champion Nicolini is looking to showcase her formidable submission game against the 2015 Pan Ams black belt champ Gezary Matuda, a competitor known for her exciting and fast-paced matches.

Pedro Bessa vs. Luca Anacoreta
Pedro Bessa is a black belt under Eduardo Telles, and one of the longest established jiu jitsu instructors in the UK. He holds medals at black belt in the Europeans and World Championships. Luca Anacoreta is an Italian jiu jitsu black belt with multiple European titles to his name and a highly dynamic style of fighting.
