Khabib Nurmagomedov: “Football Is My First Love, I’d Play If Given An Offer”

Even though a big part of the MMA community is currently preoccupied with a number of UFC veterans looking to get “celebrity fights” (such as against Logan Paul), it seems that Khabib Nurmagomedov is showing – once again – that he has different dreams.
Can you guess what one of those dreams is? It’s football!

Yes, you’ve read that right. In his recent Q&A session on Facebook, Khabib expressed his love for the sport:

I love football. I follow football since when I was a kid, when I was a child. This is my first love… Football is, for me, best sport. Football is on another level.
MMA, I like MMA. I like fighting. I like competition with people, with best fighters in the world. But football, for me is, like, best sport.

He went on to say that he would be happy to play football professionally:

A lot of football clubs, they offer me, but I have to little bit become football shape. Because football shape is little bit different than MMA. When you have to fight in MMA, when we have to play in football, this is two different.
But if some clubs, they offer me like, they make me (interested), I’m gonna accept this, because this is my childhood dream.

So, the question is: will Khabib become a professional football player? What makes this prospect even more exciting is that Dynamo Legion and FC Kamza – third-tier football clubs from Russia – have shown interest in signing up the undisputed UFC champion.
