News from Russia (MKRU) has emerged that Fedor Emelianenko’s 16-year-old daughter was attacked on her way home from school by thugs. She was seemingly kicked in the chest, an attack that left a noticeable bruise on her body. The 16 year old girl  was hospitalized at Research Institute of Children’s Emergency Surgery and Traumatology and diagnosed with “contusion of the chest and abdomen”.

Last week, the daughter of a “famous heavyweight” was attacked and hospitalized in Moscow. While the report did not name the fighter, BloodyElbow confirmed with multiple sources that it was heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko.

According to the police, it was Emelianenko’s daughter and she was unwilling to identify the assailants.

The attack occurred on October 9, and happened 3 days after Fedor’s public criticism of the MMA fights in Chechnya hosted by Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov which featured children as young as 8 years old.

Backstory:

Chechenya’s president Ramzan Kadyrov hosted the latest World Fight Championships of Akhmat – this was all on October 4th. Among the grown up fighters (eg. here’s a line I never thought I’d write) were flyweight champion Magmoed Bibulatov, former Bellator champ “Frodo” Khasbulaev and others.

Even more stunning, the kids featured in the professional MMA show were Kadyrov’s – Akhmad is a 11 year old (30 kg ~ 66 pounds) who won by knockout.

The other two sons were 10 and 9 respectively and won via unanimous decisions and won miniature belts?!

The head of the MMA Union in Russia, celebrated heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko spoke about the incident on instagram:

 “October 4th fights involving children were declared demonstrative but in facte the audience has seen a real fight. According to the official rules of the sport, recognized by the Russian Ministry of Sport, athletes under 21 must enter the ring wearing helmet linings and even up to 12 year olds rashguards or a T shirt. Additionaly, there are certain restrictions for age groups under 21. Fights were carried out according to the rules that exist for adult pro athletes and are not suitable for children. Children under 12 are not allowed at all to fight according to the MMA rules.

What happened yesterday in the Grozny tournament is not permissible and even more so unjustifiable. I don’t understand why a televison Матч.Боец would show the fights on air. I’m not talking about the fact that children under 12 years not even allowed into the hall as the audience, but then the kids who are 8 years old beaten each other in front of a happy adult. Really all it is so important to organize a spectacle to the detriment of the health of children ?! I very much resent the fact that behind all this watching President of the Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. His advisers from the Ministry of the Chechen sport not reported, it is not permitted to hold children under 12 years of fighting? We must first of all be an example for the younger generation, and takes care of their health. Participation in the fighting on the same level with adults can cause irreparable damage to children’s health that will not allow them not only to continue a career, but it would harm the child’s physical condition, as well as psychological.”

4 октября поединки с участием детей были заявлены как показательные, но, по факту, зрители увидели реальные бои. По официальным правилам вида спорта, признанного в Министерстве спорта Российской Федерации, спортсмены в возрасте до 21 года должны выходить на ринг в шлеме, накладках, а до 12 лет еще и в рашгарде или в футболке. Кроме того, существуют определенные ограничения для возрастных групп младше 21 года. Поединки проводились по правилам, которые существуют для взрослых спортсменов-профессионалов, что не подходит для детей. Детям до 12 лет вообще не разрешено выступать по правилам ММА. То, что происходило вчера на турнире в Грозном не допустимо, а тем более, это нельзя оправдывать! Также для меня не понятно, почему телеканал Матч.Боец показывает в прямом эфире детские бои. Я уже не говорю о том, что дети до 12 лет даже не допускаются в зал как зрители, но тут малыши, которым 8 лет избивали друг друга на глазах у радостных взрослых. Неужели всем так важно организовать зрелище в ущерб здоровью детей?! Меня очень сильно возмущает тот факт, что за всем этим наблюдал Президент Республики Чечни Рамзан Кадыров. Его советники из Министерства спорта Чечни не сообщили, что не разрешается проведение боев детей до 12 лет? Мы в первую очередь должны служить примером для подрастающего поколения и заботится об их здоровье. Участие в боях на одном уровне со взрослыми может нанести непоправимый ущерб здоровью ребят, что не позволит им не только продолжать спортивную карьеру, но нанесет вред физическому состоянию ребенка, а также и психологическому.

Kadyrov responded that there are no crimes against children in Chechenya, and that his kids fighting was an example of physical and moral education.

“We grow up as patriots and defenders of Russia,” wrote Kadyrov. “Fedor, you are in the wrong. Russian heroes do not act this way.”

Of course this explanation was juxtaposed with instagram footage of kids taking drugs:

Как русский богатырь и патриот поздравил бы Чечню с праздниками, отметил бы факт розыгрыша первого пояса ММА, хотя бы раз приехал в Чечню, посмотрел, как мы проводим турниры и развиваем спорт. А так его заявления вызывают ряд вопросов. Странно выглядит и резонанс, провоцируемый Фёдором, ибо каждый обязан начинать с себя и семьи. Это касается и близких. Но выставлять фото чужих детей, и провоцировать под ним нелестные комментарии, есть прямое нарушение этики и морали. Мы в Чечне используем все формы и методы для выполнения поручения Руководства России, активно приобщаем детей и молодёжь к спорту. В Чечне нет детдомов, приютов, беспризорных детей. Нет преступлений против детей или это большая редкость. Нигде не ведётся такая комплексная работа по защите прав детей, как в Чечне. Почему именно показательный поединок, в форме детской игры, воспринят как ужас, а не то, что война унесла жизни 13987 детей, погибли сотни тысячи человек, пять тысячи человек пропали без вести, разрушены до основания Грозный и вся Чечня. Говорили вы про ужас, когда всё это происходило? Стоит даже чихнуть, начинаются сказки про налоги. Мы также платим налоги, поставляем лучшую в мире нефть, газ! А дотации получаем, как и многие регионы. Мы с детства растим патриотов и защитников России. Фёдор, вы неправы! Русские богатыри так не поступают! #Кадыров #Россия #Чечня
