UK rapper Tinie Tempah, whose real name is Patrick Chukwuemeka Okugwu, recently won a gold medal at the English BJJ Open!
Tempah, a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, has been actively training in the Gentle Art, joining a growing list of celebrities who are embracing the sport.
Unlike many celebrities who practice BJJ, though, Tempah has taken the bold step of entering the competition podium – a move that often brings a mix of intimidation and anxiety, especially for someone with a significant public profile.
He shared his success via a recent social media post:

Tempah competed in the Master 1 blue belt lightweight division.
He faced one opponent in a straight final, where he won the match 4-0 on points.
This victory wasn’t just a personal achievement for Tempah, but it also marks another milestone in his ongoing journey in the sport – having previously participated in a Grappling Industries tournament earlier in the year.
