UFC’s Khusein Askhabov Arrested For Kidnapping, Torture In Thailand

UFC fighter Khusein Askhabov and his twin brother, alongside three individuals from Kazakhstan, have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and brutal assault of an Italian man in Thailand.

On the night of the incident, the assailants allegedly broke into the victim’s villa, utilizing a side entrance at around 11 pm local time.
The victim was reportedly asleep when the men seized him, tying and silencing him; before beating him for hours, in order to extract information about cryptocurrency accounts.

In the end, the assailants escaped with belongings amounting to roughly $338,000. The loot encompassed a Rolex watch, a MacBook, two iPhones, and around 40,000 euros in cash.
Subsequently, they fled the country, boarding a plane to Dubai.

Cherng Talay police superintendent Pol Col Chalermchai confirmed the arrests on September 5; saying that Khusein Askhabov and his twin brother, Khasan Askhabov, were taken into custody the day after warrants were issued for both men by the Provincial Phuket Court.

The two brothers are facing prosecution for:

The act of robbery done through cruelty to the extent that others receive it and endangering the body or mind through torture.
