UFC welterweight contender Jack Della Maddalena and featherweight contender Nathaniel Wood have been promoted to the rank of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts!

Both fighters have been promoted by coach Ben Vickers, and the news were first shared via social media:

It was Jack Della Maddalena’s recent fight with established welterweight Gilbert Burns at UFC 299 that captured widespread attention.
Maddalena delivered a knockout blow in the final round, maintaining his undefeated record in the UFC with an impressive tally of 17 wins and 2 losses.

UFC featherweight contender Nathaniel Wood, while having suffered a setback with a loss to Muhammad Naiov at UFC 294 last October, has continued his journey to black belt status – which culminated after an exciting superfight against fellow UFC contender Mason Jones, at Polaris 27 on March 23.
