UFC London: Paddy Pimblett Taps Out Jordan Leavitt – “Teabagging” Him In Celebration

The UFC London took place on July 23 (Saturday) at the O2 Arena in London (England), featuring a main card fight between Paddy Pimblett and Jordan Leavitt. There was a lot of buildup before the match, with both fighters claiming that they’ll have unique celebrations after winning it; Pimblett saying that he’ll “teabag” Leavitt, and Leavitt claiming that his celebration will be twerking.
Well, this time teabagging beat twerking.

Pimblett started out fairly slow in the match, but still managed to defend against Leavitt’s Single Leg takedown attempts. He redeemed himself in the second round, when he rocked Leavitt with a knee strike (while defending against a takedown). He then took his opponent’s back, locking a vicious Body Triangle.
Leavitt was in a world of trouble, as his arm was trapped within the Body Triangle. Pimblett was quick to sneak in a Rear Naked Choke and get the submission.

And, staying true to his word, Pimblett went for teabagging his opponent. Leavitt didn’t want any of it, but the two still exchanged a hug when the match ended.

After the bout, Pimblett revealed that he found out shortly before the weigh-ins that one of his friends died by suicide. He called men to take their mental health more seriously:

There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk.

Listen, if you’re a man and you’ve got weight on your shoulders and you think the only way you can solve it is by killing yourself, please speak to someone. Speak to anyone.
