Tye Ruotolo clinched the ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title, with a decisive victory over Magomed Abdulkadirov!

The match – which took place at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok – kicked off with an intense grip fighting exchange.
However, Ruotolo, the 20-year-old phenom, quickly shifted gears by pulling guard and launching an aggressive attack from his back.

Abdulkadirov, known for his defensive acumen, managed to keep his composure until Ruotolo ensnared him in a leg entanglement.
Soon after, the American transitioned from a Leg Lock attempt to a dominant top position.

Then, he executed a Smash Pass to Mount, a position from which he launched a series of submission attempts.

He threatened with an Arm-In Guillotine Choke, then with a D’Arce Choke that nearly ended the bout.
Abdulkadirov’s resilience was noteworthy, though, and he survived a final Armbar attempt in the end.

This victory not only improved Tye Ruotolo’s record to 26-9, but also earned him a $50,000 bonus – and the distinction of being the first to hold the ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title.
Now, Tye Ruotolo stands as a world champion alongside his twin brother Kade.
