Jordan Patrick Leahy has been convicted for hate crime after a Florida road rage incident last year, when he tried to force a Black person’s car off the road.
Even then, the racist man found himself in immediate trouble… As his victim was an MMA fighter who fought back and put him in a choke hold, rendering him unconscious.
While driving, Leahy came upon J.T., who was headed to Clearwater (Florida) with his girlfriend and 4-year old daughter, as reported by the NBC news.
Leahy then pulled alongside J.T.’s car and started yelling racial slurs; pretending to “shoot” at the victim’s car with hand gestures. Then, he used his car to try and force J.T.’s car off the road.
Leahy followed the victim for a mile and a half, sideswiping his car in the end and then fleeing the scene. However, J.T. then caught up with Leahy and pulled up behind him at a red light.
Leahy then got out of the car, yelling racist slurs, and tried to assault J.T. However, the victim was an MMA fighter – he put Leahy in a choke hold and rendered him unconscious.

The police soon came to the scene and restrained Leahy. The suspect then, according to reports, “made numerous statements evidencing his bias motive; including saying that Black people need to be kept ‘in their areas'”.
The prosecutors said that he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine up to $250,000.
