PFL has recently revealed the matchups for its upcoming events – and among them is an anticipated rematch between Neiman Gracie and Goiti Yamauchi!
The fight is set for PFL 3, on April 19th, 2024.
Both fighters transitioned from Bellator to PFL, where they initially clashed in 2022.
At the time, Gracie was climbing the ranks in the welterweight division, even challenging for the promotion’s title; while Yamauchi, a seasoned lightweight, had decided to move up in weight.
Their first fight, surprisingly, showcased little grappling – despite both fighters being renowned for their grappling skills.
Instead, Yamauchi secured the win with a late second-round knockout.
Since their first match, both fighters have gone their separate journeys.
Gracie bounced back with a solid decision win over Dante Schiro at Bellator 290.
On the other hand, Yamauchi faced Michael “Venom” Page at Bellator 292, a match he lost via TKO.
Now, this rematch holds added significance as part of the 2024 PFL welterweight season – as each fighter will aim to accumulate points towards the outstanding $1,000,000 grand prize.
