Nicholas Meregali, a multiple-time gi world champion, is stepping into the UFC FPI 6 arena with a reputation as one of the most elite heavyweight grapplers on the global stage.
Having transitioned to no-gi competition in 2022, Meregali quickly climbed the ranks; securing, for example, a third-place finish in the 99kg division and a second-place finish in the absolute division at the ADCC World Championships.

On the other side of the mat, Matheus Diniz – a Marcelo Garcia black belt and the 2019 88kg ADCC champion – brings his own set of medals and experience.
Despite a more selective competition schedule in recent years, Diniz’s skill set remains challenging as always (marked especially by his exceptional takedown abilities and mastery in back control).
However, his journey at the 2022 ADCC World Championships was cut short following a submission loss to Giancarlo Bodoni in the second round.
