Mikey Musumeci Says That He Will Voluntarily Do PED Tests – To Prove He’s Natural

Mikey Musumeci, the reigning ONE submission grappling world champion, has announced his intention to undergo regular voluntary drug testing!

Musumeci, a staunch opponent of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) in Jiu-Jitsu, aims to set an example and prove his natural athlete status through these tests.

Musumeci shared his decision on his Instagram story, emphasizing his dedication to competing without the aid of PEDs:

Just drove back to Vegas straight to a drug test!
Every other month I will be taking a drug test.

Thanks to One championship, IBJJF and Polaris testing in jiu jitsu is increasing, but the majority of the athletes being tested are using doctors to beat the test cycling off 3-4 weeks before competitions, so I want to show all year round I take ZERO PEDs.

Never have, never will, and my dream is to change this sport away from inspiring and having children, yes, children taking steroids.
This is UNACCEPTABLE and I will be working hard to change it!

There are no shortcuts, just work hard and find the passion in your heart to love jiu jitsu and that passion will drive you!
Not the passion to make money and “win” at any costs dropping your values and morals.
