Khamzat Chimaev’s Inspiring Speech: “Muslims, Christians, Jews, It Doesn’t Matter…”

Khamzat Chimaev won the match against former UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, last night at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. He maintained his unbeaten record, even though Usman put up a fierce fight.
In the end, Chimaev won via majority decision (29-27, 29-27, 28-28).

However, what also stood out was Chimaev’s post-match speech.
It was a wholesome and heartwarming one:

People, you know what’s going on in the world right now.

I wasn’t happy because I had to fight in a cage this week while watching kids die. It doesn’t matter where in the world: in Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, USA, it doesn’t matter where it happens.
When children die, it’s hard.

I love children… I have boy, three-months-old is waiting for me at home.

He added:

When someone dies, I don’t know what to say.
Muslims, Christians, Jews, it doesn’t matter.

Please, people, be together.
Let us live in this world and let us be happy. Thank you guys!

Chimaev also gave props to Kamaru Usman and his team:

Man, I was a schoolboy when he was fighting. I’m a big fan of Usman and I’m a big fan of his coaches.
