Former interim UFC lightweight champion has attempted the Jumping Guillotine many times during his UFC 299 encounter against Benoit Saint Denis.
And, well, during a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Poirier hinted that the Jumping Guillotine might become one of the decisive techniques in his arsenal.
He said:
I’ll never stop Jumping Guillotines either.
He [Benoit Saint Denis] never took me down, I took myself down. I was, like, yeah [I have to hit it].Maybe I’ll submit Islam [Makhachev] with it…
[The obsession started] probably a few years ago.Dude, don’t be silly – jump the guilly, that’s the motto.
