Dana White Awards $50,000 Exclusively To Submission Performances At UFC Vegas 88

At UFC Vegas 88, Dana White decided to forego the traditional “Fight of the Night” bonus – and, instead, opted to reward fighters solely based on their performances.
One thing that stood out, however, was the common thread among all the winners: they all utilized Jiu-Jitsu to secure victory.

Two Brazilian fighters, Jafel Cavalcante and Jaqueline Amorim, used their Jiu-Jitsu skills to win their fights.
Jafel submitted Ode Osbourne with a Rear Naked Choke, while Jaqueline secured an Armbar against Cory McKenna; both finishing their opponents in the first round.

Each received a bonus of $50,000 for their successes.

Marcyn Tibura and Macy Chiasson also impressed with their Jiu-Jitsu skillsets.
Tibura secured a submission victory over Tai Tuivasa in the main event, while Chiasson executed a Rear Naked Choke against Pannie Kianzad on the main card.

And, just like their Brazilian counterparts, Tibura and Chiasson walked away with a well-deserved bonus of $50,000.
