Andre Galvao To Compete At Ultra Heavy At 2014 Pan, Makes Way For Keenan Cornelius At Middle Heavy

 

 

The 2014 Pan which will be held on March 12th to 16 in Irvine, California.

Rooster weight world champion Caio Terra was supposed to be facing the Ultra heavy giants, however Caio decided to drop out see his statement here.  With Caio gone, the ultra heavy will still get another unexpected guest: medium heavy world champion, Andre Galvao.

Galvao hasn’t yet given any statement following his decision, but according to the bracket he will face the winner of Gabriel Lucas and Alessandro Da Silva.

One of the reasons, may be that Galvao wants to make way for his student Keenan Cornelius who is also at middle heavy. Along with Cornelius, Galvao’s team mate Guto Campos is in the same division.

Galvao is used to facing much larger opponents. He came second at last year’s Pan losing only to Marcus Bucheca Almeida on points:
