Amanda Alequin Discusses Upcoming Match With Tammy Musumeci: “I Can’t Wait For It”

Amanda Alequin is facing Tammi Musumeci at ONE Fight Night 12 in just a few days’ time.

The strawweight submission grappling match will take place on July 14 – and “Tubby” told ONE Championship that she couldn’t be more excited about her debut:

I’m just excited to go out there and finally be able to showcase my skills to [ONE’s fans] because I know once they meet me, once they see me perform, they’re going to be like: “What were we thinking holding off on this girl?”

I’m excited to perform for the whole crowd over there.

Alequin wants to compete as often as possible:

I can’t wait for this opportunity to showcase (my skills) because like I said, I’m not an MMA fighter.

So, I don’t need two months in between. I don’t need 30 days.
If you could slap me on every two weeks, it would be ideal.

I would like to stay as active as possible and fight as many times, compete as many times for ONE as I can.

Plus, she is going into the match against Musumeci with an open mind:

I’m expecting the unexpected.

If she wants to give me her leg and go to the ground, we’re going to dance, we’re going to tussle.
But if she wants to wrestle with me, I’m going to be prepared for that as well.
