It’s no secret that training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu isn’t “just” about progressing through the belt ranks and improving your skillset. Nor is it only about becoming fitter and better-looking.
But it’s also (and, perhaps, even more so) about the community that you meet along the way. The friends and brotherhoods/sisterhoods you form as the time goes on. The friendships – that might be something which is more important than anything else when it comes to the Gentle Art.
And, well, two BJJ practitioners found that out on the streets of Brazil in an unusual way.
In an undisclosed location, the two men got into a fight… And both started using grappling techniques, such as takedowns, guard retention, and Leg Lock attacks.
On the video below, it quickly becomes apparent that both men train Jiu-Jitsu.
And it appears that, once both got tired of fighting and figured out that they both train the same sport, they decided to stop – and shake hands, like only Jiu-Jitsu practitioners would.
Watch the entire ordeal on the video below.
What do you think about it? And what are your thoughts on the techniques being used?
