Ivan Drago’s Son Revealed for ‘Creed 2’

It looks like we’ve found the son of the legendary Ivan Drago for the latest movie in the Rocky Balbao franchise. It will be no other than Florian “ Big Nasty” Munteanu, a 27 year old Romanian boxer who stands 6 feet four, and 245 pounds.

Munteanu will be Michael B. Jordan’s opponent in Creed 2, which will begin filming in March 2018 and expected to released in November 2018.
The first Creed movie was a box office success grossing just over $170 million.

He will play the son of Ivan Drago, the scary Russian payed by Dolph Lundgren in Rocky IV. Lundgren will also reprise his role. He is born and bred in Munich Germany and his parents are from Romania.

Late last year, it was revealed that the UFC fighter Sage Northcutt has auditioned for the role but the 6 foot and 170 lbs soft spoken Texan looks too small and too friendly to be the son of the hulking Russian Drago.

Sylvetser Stalone released the first Creed 2 poster yesterday:

The plot hasn’t been released yet but it is speculated that Creed junior will go after Drago and his son since the Russian is the one who killed his father, Apollo Creed in Rocky IV.

Munteanu stated:

“A huge honor to play in such a big movie. I’ll promise you this…I’ll work my a*s of to make this movie unforgettable.”
